She expressed her joy in a post on her Instagram page<\/a> when she wrote, “I am pleasantly surprised \ud83d\ude32 Thanks so much to everyone who supported the L Magazine Launch & Award. Your tickets and donations raised $609 for two nonprofits-\u00a0@theenitanstory<\/a>\u00a0and Planting People Growing Justice (PPGJ). Thanks for joining us to support literacy and human trafficking advocacy….”<\/p>\n

Earlier today, she sent an email to all the guest who purchased tickets on Eventbrite. Below is her email.<\/p>\n

A Message from Bukola Oriola:<\/p>\n

Hello,<\/p>\n

Thanks a Million! My heart is filled with gratitude, and I am humbled by your support.<\/p>\n

Thank you so much for joining me to celebrate authors around the world and also supporting literacy and human trafficking advocacy.<\/p>\n

I am glad to inform you that we raised $609.<\/p>\n

The Enitan Story (TES) will receive a check of $354.50 and Planting People Growing Justice (PPGJ) will receive a check of $254.50. A check of $100 was made out directly to The Enitan Story, hence, the difference in the donation between the two organizations.<\/p>\n

We will have pictures and video from the event on L Magazine website at\u00a0https:\/\/www.bukolaoriola.com\/LMagazine\/<\/a>. Kindly visit the website regularly to keep up to date with what we will be doing to promote literacy, celebrate authors around the world, and combat human trafficking.<\/p>\n
